YOUR SURVIVAL GUIDE TO THE APAC FINALS SEASON IX

The Season IX APAC LAN Finals kick off on Saturday, April 13th, and we are thrilled for this action-packed weekend of competitive Rainbow Six!

The APAC scene is more competitive than ever, with eight fearsome teams from across four regions (Australia-New Zealand, Japan, Southeast Asia, and South Korea) ready to battle out for a regional crown and two spots to represent the region in Milan!

Whether it is your first time watching a Rainbow Six competition or you are a longtime fan looking for an overview of what to expect, this guide’s got you covered!

**WHO’S COMPETING?

**

The qualified teams are:

• NORA-Rengo (Japan): Known for their spectacular playstyle, Merieux and his teammates will be looking to impress the local crowd in their home-country, Japan. The departure of Wokka before the end of the season may be a big loss for the team, but their impressive showings in the Season 8 Pro League Finals and the Six Invitational 2019 prove they are a fearsome team.

• Cyclops (Japan): This roster will look to the APAC Finals with ambition, winning two times against NORA-Rengo. The 2nd seed in Japanese region may not be the most experienced team on LAN events, but they undoubtedly don’t lack talent.

• Fnatic (Australia): The Australian juggernaut is undoubtedly one of the competition favorites, making it to every international LAN event so far under Fnatic belt. They will be aiming to do so again through the Season IX APAC LAN and build on their momentum of the Six Invitational 2019.

• Orgless (Australia): Formed by the former roster of Athletico, they put an end to Fnatic's supremacy over the ANZ region during the Pro League Online Season 8. A remarkable performance confirmed this Season, playing as a 2st seed of Australian region. Expectations are high for the Aussies.

• Xavier Esports (Southeast Asia): Following their flawless performances on Season 8, this Thai team continued to improve significantly through Season IX. First seed of the region, they cruised through the online season, remaining undefeated.

• Aerowolf (Southeast Asia): Formed by Singaporean players, this roster was the first team making its mark internationally at the inaugural Six Invitational 2017. This roster, one of the most experienced APAC teams, is still looking to qualify for their maiden Pro League Finals

• Cloud9 (South Korea): Formerly known as Mantis FPS, the roster was recently picked up by world-renowned Cloud9. Led by SummerRain, they put up strong performances throughout the Pro League Season IX, finishing first seed of South Korean region. At an international level, they proved that they are a force to be reckoned with, putting up strong showings against G2 Esports and Team Liquid during the Six Invitational 2019.

• Ageless (South Korea): The 2nd seed of the region will start their first APAC LAN Finals with the ambition to earn a spot for the Pro League Finals. They will count on the experience of CATsang, who was competing last APAC Finals under the New Life belt.
