PARTICIPATING TEAMS, JURY & COMPETITIVE FORMAT
Here are the 8 finalists for this competition:
- Amandine "TheFairyDina" Morisset from France
- Diego "Diegho San" Dos Santos Silva from Brazil
- Aleksanteri "TheAllu" Landström from Finland
- Antonino "JustNino" Pomilia from Italy
- Joseph "Aazzlano" Cordero from the United States of America
- Adithiyan "Arms73" Armstrong from India
- Elsie Fang from the People's Republic of China
- Siti Zhywee Ramle from Singapore
The Jury will be composed of 3 Just Dance experts:
- Matthew Tomkinson, Creative Director on Just Dance
- Estelle Manas, Choregraph Director on Just Dance
- Benjamin Jouffret, Costume & Character Director
The opponents of each song will be drawn before the tournament begins.
The competition will consist of a single elimination bracket with Best-of-1 matches in quarterfinals and Best-of-3 matches in semifinals and the Grand Finale. The 8 dancers will compete in pairs in 4 quarterfinals, after which 4 players will have been eliminated and the winners will progress to 2 semifinals, and 2 finalists will remain to compete in the Grand Finale.
Here's how the points are attributed to the dancers after a map:
- 2 points will be given to the highest-scoring winner of the map
- 1 point attributed by each jury member to 1 player based on a selection of criteria
The winners of each match will then advance within their bracket, while the dancer with the least amount of total points gets eliminated.
For the Grand Finale, dancers will compete in a Best-of-3 match, which means that a player will need to win 2 maps to earn the maximum amount of points from the maps. The Jury will then attribute their points to the finalists, and the dancer with the most total points will become the Olympic Esports Series Winner.
