Winter weather is bringing a chill to the heated clashes of For Honor in the Frost Wind Festival, a seasonal event running on all available platforms from December 21, 2017 to January 4, 2018. During the Frost Wind Festival, a new mode called Ice Brawlers will introduce a new setting for 2v2 Brawl matches—the surface of a frozen lake, where the thin ice begins to crack as the match wears on, creating deadly hazards for careless heroes.
New winter-themed items will be available as well, such as Battle Outfits, weapons, mood effects, and an emote. These can be looted in any game mode during the Frost Wind Festival, and will also be available as part of Hero-specific bundles starting on December 28. The price of the bundles will adapt dynamically to exclude items you’ve already looted, so you’ll receive the items you don't already have. Finally, new Mask outfits for each faction will be available for the discounted price of 15,000 Steel from December 21 to December 28, after which you can pick them up for 20,000 Steel.

Greetings Warriors, it's almost time for our second Limited-Time Seasonal Event: The Frost Wind Festival!
Earn EXCLUSIVE rewards by playing PVP and PVAI matches. You can find unique loot including Effects, Ornaments, Weapons and Outfits for all Heroes. There is also a new Frost Wind Emblem Symbol in the Emblem Editor! These can only be obtained during the event, so don't miss out!
Q: WHEN DOES THE FROST WIND FESTIVAL START AND END ON EACH PLATFORM?
The Frost Wind Festival will be live on all platforms from December 21st @ 17:30 (UTC) to January 4th @ 13:00 (UTC). For any updates or changes to the schedule please refer to the Reddit sub-channel: https://www.reddit.com/r/ForHonor/.
Q: WHAT ACTIVITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE DURING THE EVENT?
A new 2V2 game mode will be available only during the event period: Ice Brawlers! Step onto a frozen lake and brawl it up! Just keep in mind that ice... breaks. In addition, minions are changed to ""Frost"" minions in Skirmish and Dominion!
We have prepared a set of thematic event orders that spawn once per day and tell the story of the Battle of the 12 Days. And, to conclude, an exclusive Frost Wind Emblem Symbol will unlock for everyone who has logged-in during the event!
Q: IS THERE ANY SPECIAL EVENT LOOT?
Players can loot unique items at the end of matches as well as from Scavenger Crates.
These can only be looted during the event and will not be sold individually on the Game Store.
- Effect: Avalanche, lootable in 3 parts (Idle/Emote/Execution).
- 5 different Color Swatches: Thin Ice, Black Ice, Sea Ice, Blood Snow and Frozen Forest.
- Ornament: Frost Wind Crest.
- Battle Outfit: Shattered Ice.
This loot will be part of a special bundle that will be released on December 28th, 2017.
Additionally, each of the 18 characters have 1 weapon set (with 3 parts) that may drop, but won't be available in the bundle. Please note that there is no event loot in Private Matches and Duel vs AI.
Q: WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN THE GAME STORE?
The For Honor team is proud to re-introduce Mask Outfits with the Frost Wind Festival.
Each faction has a different Mask Outfit, which are available at 15,000 Steel (instead of 20,000) per Hero when the event starts on December 21st, and will stay available in-game at 20,000 Steel as of December 28th and after the event! Please note that all the content below is not lootable.
• Knight: Tundra Gryphon.
• Samurai: Northern Dragon.
• Viking: Iced Buffalo.
The following content is included with the mask outfits:
• Knight: Ornament - Silver Gryphon, Effect - Glacial Gryphon.
