We are excited to announce that R6 South Breach is returning in 2024, and the first matches aren't too far away!

For aspiring professional European players and teams, this year's tournament will feature a total prize pool of €20,000, giving them an additional opportunity to compete at a higher level and hone their skills.

This year, the R6 South Breach will also give your team a chance to earn T2 Circuit Points. Earning enough points during Central Combine, R6 South Breach and Rainbow Rumble throughout the year will enable your team to qualify for the new EU Tier 2 finals, held at EPICLAN44 in the UK on the 22nd & 23rd of February 2025.

Format Explainer:

Rainbow Six Siege players, are you ready for the renewed version of R6 South Breach?

R6 South Breach 2024 is split into three phases:

Phase 1 - QUALIFIER:

The qualifier stage will consist of 2 swiss-stage tournaments

• The top three teams from each qualifier will advance to Phase 2
• The remaining two slots will be granted through a last chance qualifier in a single-elimination bracket.

Qualifier Phase matches will be open to community casting. To register as a community caster, please join the Discord server linked at the beginning of the blogpost and follow the steps outlined in the #community-caster-request text channel.

Phase 2 - GROUP STAGE:

In Phase 2, the teams that have advanced Phase 1 will be seeded into two single round-robin group stages.

• All 8 teams will advance to phase 3!

Phase 3 - PLAYOFFS:

In Phase 3, the results from the group stage will be used to seed the teams into a bracket

This phase will be an eight-team double-elimination bracket to crown the 2024 champions of the R6 South Breach!

BROADCAST All phases will once again be open for community casting! If you are interested in broadcasting matches, make sure to check the official Discord Server for all details.

• 17th and 18th October 2024 - Open Qualifier 1
• 20th and 21st October 2024 - Open Qualifier 2
• 19th and 20th November 2024 - Last Chance Qualifier

Phase 2 (Group Stage):

• 22nd November 2024 - Day 1
• 23rd November 2024 - Day 2
• 24th November 2024 - Day 3

Phase 3 (Playoffs):

• 29th, 30th November and 1st December 2024 - Week 1
• 6th, 7th and 8th December 2024 - Week 2
• 14th December 2024 - Loser Brackets Final
• 15th December 2024 - Online Grand Final

Please note that this tournament is not connected with the BLAST R6 Global Esports Circuit, meaning no points will be awarded to qualify for the Six Invitational 2025. However, BLAST R6 teams can participate with their academy team, allowing one player from the 2024 Stage 2 main roster to compete.
