PROFILE

Growing up in a military family in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Shuhrat Kessikbayev emigrated to Russia shortly before the fall of the Soviet Union. He is an expert tinkerer and master craftsman, more at ease with the workings of machines than people. He carries a cluster charge of his own invention, which when planted on a wall or floor, bores a hole through it, releasing a group of small fragmentation grenades.

GAMEPLAY

FUZE is the ultimate room clearer! Plant his Cluster charge and detonate it to release multiple small disc shaped grenades on the other side. Cluster grenades do less damages than standard grenade, however if an enemy gets caught in the middle of multiple explosions, the effect could be lethal! Each grenade has a different fuse so wait to hear all of them explode before entering the room. Also, don't use the cluster charge on the room where the hostage could be as he or she may not survive the damage inflicted by the grenades.

The Cluster Charge can be affected by Mute's Jamming Device so pay attention where you plant it. It's good to use it in synch with your teammates, as you can detonate your cluster charge, then wait for the explosions to begin to detonate extra breach charges and clear the room while enemies attempt to flee the cluster grenades.

UNIQUE GADGET

First developed in the Ratnik experimental weaponry brigade, the APM-6 “Matryoshka” was Kessikbayev’s attempt to create a more powerful breach charge. It proved to be an effective means of clearing a room, dealing the most damage to hostiles while keeping the operator relatively safe. The “Matryoshka” can be anchored either vertically or horizontally. Once deployed, the piston burrows through walls or floors, dispersing live cluster grenades while spinning to deal the most damage from any directions.

The “Matroyshka” is most useful in conditions where collateral damage is not a concern. Not recommended for hostage extractions, or in areas where there is a high risk of friendly fire.
