Greetings from the Abyss Captains!
We're looking forward to your participation to this PTS in preview to Season 3.
You'll get a sneak peek on some aspects of Season 3 including the new Sea Monster, some of the new World events as well as the Mooncake Regatta (Mid-Autumn Festival).

Shadowbeast

Take on this mighty beast taking on the Indian Ocean!
Shadowbeast, a fearsome dragon, seen by those in the Far East as an omen for the coming chaos has been spotted. Whispers spread that all is not well in the Indian Ocean. Strange tidings are afoot Captain. This beast is terrorising the unsuspecting crews roaming in the storm.

Mooncake Regatta

Take part in an assassination disguising itself as a race. The mooncakes contain encrypted messages to avoid the eyes of the megacorporations. Those mooncakes are key to the trap created to destroy their ships.

New Merchant Convoys

Bartered Blood

A convoy is set to sail from Bandari. Merchants from the Confederation of Ungwana signed a deal too lucrative (and dangerous) to break. Will you ignore this opportunity? Or see if you can create chaos and a little profit while you are at it?

Profitable Poison

A convoy leaving from the port of Harifu is transporting items to the heart of the Coast. Whatever they are transporting is poisoning their people, but those Ungwana Merchant care only about profit. Call it a good deed if you will, either way, there's surely some profit in it for you Captain.

Flames of the Dragon

Li Tian Ning, known by some as "Sky Goddess" was sent as an envoy to the Indian Ocean for the Emperor.
She is a military strategist and soothsayer for the Imperial Court and renowned for her unique blend of tactical acumen and mystical insights into the future.  She'll challenge you in many ways.

New Ship: Battle Junk

This resilient Juggernaut excels at holding the attention of opponents. It soaks up damage and create opportunities for your allies to engage or escape.

• Perk: Provoke
  • Weapons hits from within 200m range apply Taunt charges. Applying Taunt makes target vulnerable to 50% increased weakpoint damage from all sources.
  • Increase Brace strength by 150% and Brace strength recovery by 25%
• Available upgrades:
  • Better navigation stats
  • Additional furniture slots
  • New perk: Endure
    • Each time incoming damage is braced, the tank takes 2% less damage from any subsequent attack. This effect can stack up to 20% and expires if no damage has been braced in the last 12 seconds.
    • Inflict Taunt charges to hostile targets within 125m while bracing hits.

New weapon

Phoenix Talons

• A Demi-cannon that packs a punch which you may obtain by defeating Li Tian Ning. It is made to focus the threat of your enemies to you.
• Slot: Quadrants
• Perks:
  • Eighteen Strikes: Landing 18 hits in a single volley instantly deals 1888 Burning Damage. This effect deals 200% as much damage on a target with the Ablaze status effect.
  • Provoking: Hits on a target cause build-up of the Taunted status effect.
  • Burning II: Adds 20% of damage as burning damage.

Heaven's Mandate

• This devastatingly powerful cannon has spectacular lightning powers. Defeat the Shadowbeast for a chance to obtain it.

• Slot: Quadrants

• Perks:

  • Heaven's Wrath: If a target is afflicted with the Electrified status effect, hits have a 15% chance to summon a devastating Lightning strike that deals 1500 Electric Damage
  • Electric II: Add 20% of the damage as Electric damage.

Who can access the PTS?

The PTS is invite only, so keep an eye on your mailbox.

Is everything on the PTS going to make it to the live game?

No. We may use the PTS to test things before deciding if they should make it to the live servers or not. Also, based on the community feedback collected during the PTS and Insider Program phases, some aspects of the features and changes implemented on the PTS may change before implementation on the live servers.

Access

Do I have to download the game again to access the PTS?

You will indeed need to download the PTS version of the game to play it.

Where do I download the build of the PTS?

You can download the PTS directly in the launcher Ubisoft Connect.

Do I need to start a new progression on the PTS?

For existing players, your progress, will be seamlessly transferred from the live game with the exception of Gold, Silver and Pieces of Eight. A default amount of Silver and Gold will be granted instead and Pieces of Eight will be capped at 300k.

For new players, you will be given a boost - ensuring you hit the ground running.

Will my progression in the PTS be carried over?

Please note that any progress made on the Private Test Server (PTS), including Gold, Smuggler Pass progress and Store items, will not transfer to the main game.

Can I invite friends to the PTS?

You cannot invite friends for this PTS.
