Why does Ubisoft collect and process your personal data?

The information you provide:

  • On the account creation form (email address, password, username, date of birth) ;

  • In the sections "Account information" (new username and email address, first name, last name, gender, country, preferred language, linked accounts), "Security settings" (new password) and "Beta access" (registration to a beta) ;

is collected by Ubisoft Entertainment (2, rue du Chêne Heleuc – 56910 Carentoir, FRANCE) to create your Ubisoft account and provide you with the associated services. You birthdate allows us in particular to check that you are authorized to access these services.

What if you don’t want to provide your personal data?

Ubisoft uses your information on the basis of your consent, and as necessary for the performance of the contract with us. The Ubisoft Terms of Use, which you accept to use Ubisoft’s services, are available at https://www.ubisoft.com/legal/documents/termsofuse.

If do not want to provide us with the information required in the account creation form, we will not be able to create your Ubisoft account and you will not have access to some Ubisoft online services. Note however that the fields in the "Account information", "Security settings" and "Beta access" sections of your Ubisoft account are optional.

Please note that you can withdraw your consent at any time by closing your Ubisoft account. To do so, you can contact Ubisoft customer support, https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000063467/.

Where and for how long is your personal data stored?

Your personal data is stored by Ubisoft for the life of your account. After you close your account, some information is archived during the applicable statutory limitation periods.

Your information may be transferred to non-European countries that ensure an adequate level of protection according to the EU Commission, or within the framework of the standard data protection clauses adopted by the EU Commission. You can access these clauses on the European Commission website.

Who can access your personal data?

Your personal data is only accessible by Ubisoft, its subcontractors and, when you have given your consent or haven’t object to it, its partners.

What are your rights?

You can exercise your rights to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict processing, and receive your information in portable form by contacting Ubisoft customer support, https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000063467/. Some information are also available through your Ubisoft Account page, https://account.ubisoft.com/.

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country.
