Intel and Ubisoft Collaborate to Push AC Shadows to New Heights
At the heart of this partnership are Intel's Core Ultra processors (series 2), which brings their groundbreaking 3D Performance architecture into the limelight. Through close coordination between engineering teams at Intel and Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Shadows has been fine-tuned to fully utilize the power of Intel's latest processor products.
Intel Core Ultra Performance Optimizations
This collaboration includes engine optimizations that target the performance potential of both P-cores and E-cores. The inclusion of E-Cores allows P-cores to focus on the most demanding tasks while less intensive background processes and system management tasks are delegated to the more power-efficient E-cores. Those inclusions result into steady performance for AC Shadows on PC.
Ubisoft's developers worked hand-in-hand with Intel's engineering teams to tweak and adjust these optimizations in Ubisoft's proprietary game engine, Anvil. The result is a game that feels smoother, runs faster, and pushes hardware to its limits in a way that only this new generation of Intel processors can support. Support for Intel XeSS 2 at Game Launch
Intel is also introducing its next-generation XeSS 2 (Intel Xe Super Sampling) technology with Assassin's Creed Shadows at launch. This powerful feature is designed to enhance visual quality and performance, providing players with options to elevate their gaming experience. XeSS 2 introduces multiple technologies, including:
- XeSS Super Resolution: A game-changer in AI-enhanced upscaling, XeSS Super Resolution boosts frame rates while preserving visual quality, allowing for smoother gameplay even on lower-end systems.
- XeSS Frame Generation: This technology intelligently generates additional frames in between native rendered frames, enhancing smoothness and responsiveness, making gameplay feel more fluid.
