This Week In The Division 2 – January 23

Agents!

We're back with another edition of This Week in The Division 2, your one stop place to stay up to date with everything The Division 2.

Today we’ll summarize the information shared on yesterday’s State of the Game about the upcoming improvements to recalibration as well as changes to skill power.

Maintenance:

Scheduled maintenance was performed Tuesday, January 21.

  • Fixed a bug in the DZ allowed players to slip inside and shoot from behind the wall.

Don't forget to follow us on @UbisoftSupport and @TheDivisionGame for maintenance updates. You can find all patch notes and server status updates on our official forums.

Development Update:

We are currently hard at work on a general overhaul of the game’s RPG mechanics to be released when ready after Episode 3. Following up on last week’s talk about Gear 2.0 – this week we’re deep diving into changes coming to Recalibration and Skill Power.

[TCTD2]Recalibration_Library

Recalibration is getting an overhaul and allows for a more intuitive and deeper level of customization. You will be able to extract talents, stats, attributes, core stats, mod slots and desired rolls (including god rolls), and save it in the Recalibration Library to use again and again across gear you want to customize.

It is worth bearing in mind you can still only recalibrate once pr. piece and as before the source material will be destroyed in the extraction process.

Skill Power is changing and will be replaced with Skill Tiers. This means that your skills can be improved and scale directly with the skill tiers (max 6) and no longer be directly affected by skill mods.

[TCTD2]Turret_Skill_Tier

In your Skill menu you will be able to see the current skill level, and the attributes that come with your current Skill Tier. Each skill will have a different setup for what attributes and stats are affected.
With Skill Tiers we are also introducing the Overcharge. This is an effect that temporarily super charges your skill. If you are at max skill tier, a talent that grants plus one skill power will instead grant overcharge. There are also talents on gear sets that might grant overcharged regardless of the skill tier you are currently at. You can overcharge yourself and/or group.

For additional details on both Recalibration and Skill Power, check out the Twitch VoD.

As a reminder, these changes are not a part of Episode 3 and will be released when ready, following the release of Episode 3.

State of the Game 144

Next week’s State of the Game will be deep diving into Episode 3 and the sixth Specialization. We’re going back to NYC, folks! Make sure to tune in and we’re sure that the Cleaners will give you a warm welcome to NYC in February.

That’s it for this week!

Until next time,
