Over the weekend the U.S. Nationals returned with the start of the Stage 2 qualifiers. Teams from across the U.S. fought for a chance to play in the Stage 2 Conference finals.
In the Eastern conference qualifiers, Pro League team Obey Alliance faced strong opposition, beating well known amateur teams Renascence and Elephant Gang. On the other side of the bracket, TASK Esports returned once again but fell to a newer name in Apache eSports, making their way all the way to the qualifier final where they will face Obey Alliance in the coming week.
The Western conference qualifiers saw the brief return of one of the Stage 1 conference finalists, Disrupt Gaming, who lost early on in the bracket to Nomads. After a win against OverNight Esports, Nomads confirmed their chance to play for the conference finals spot. In the lower side of the bracket, multiple amateur teams fought for the opportunity to play against Nomads in the qualifier finals, with Mowt3nDooDs ultimately taking the victory over Nemesis in the semifinals and securing their chance for a conference finals spot.
