Hello Primetimers,
It's hard to believe we are already five weeks into the 2024 NFL season! With several surprising teams leading their divisions and big upsets seeming to happen every weekend, the first quarter of this NFL season has been anything but predictable.
Teams around the NFL are working hard to prepare for the rest of the season, and so are we!
Welcome to Primetime, Canada!
In Week 6, NFL Primetime Fantasy's Open Beta is heading to Canada! Android users in Canada will be able to download NFL Primetime Fantasy from the Google Play store starting on Wednesday, October 9th, just in time to play during the Week 6 games that begin on Thursday October 10th.
For iOS users, don't worry! While we don't have an exact date to share yet, we are targeting November for our release on iOS.
Closed Beta for US Android Users
We are also introducing a smaller Closed Beta in Week 6 with Android users in the US. Starting this week, we'll begin sending out a limited number of invites to players who pre-registered on the Google Play Store.
We'll continue to add more Android users in the US in the coming weeks, so you still have time to pre-register for a chance to participate in this closed beta!
What has the Team Been Working on During Open Beta?
Our goal during Open Beta is to build the next generation of fantasy football with our community, aka YOU! These past few weeks have given us the opportunity to test and learn with a smaller group of players in a live environment during actual NFL games.
We've received some great feedback from our Open Beta participants so far, and we look forward to learning more from more of our NFL Primetime Fantasy managers as we add new regions and devices.
Here are some of the areas we've been testing during this beta phase:
-
Trialling different target scores for Bronze, Silver, and Gold with live data. Our aim is to create target scores that are reachable, but still provide a fun challenge for our managers.
-
Assessing how different event requirements affect target scores and manager performance. For example, we're testing different minimum card type requirements (Common, Premium, and Legendary) for our various event modes (Exhibition, Rookie, Pro).
This is helping us find the right mix to give managers plenty of options and strategies for their lineups, while also making sure the competition level for each mode is fair and balanced. -
Testing out rewards for each event mode as well as the manager profile rewards. We want to make sure that we have a generous reward structure that is tied to performance, while still maintaining a balanced game economy.
If you have feedback about your experience with NFL Primetime Fantasy, we would love to hear it! We have a dedicated feedback channel in our official Discord server (link below), and you can also provide feedback to our Player Support team in the Support portal within the app.
What's Next for NFL Primetime Fantasy?
We plan to continue our test and learn approach during Open Beta as we work towards our target of launching on iOS and Android for some time in November. We'll share more information on the official launch date when it is available.
We'll also have some exciting new features to introduce at that time. While we can't share too many details just yet, have you ever wanted to play fantasy football on a team WITH your friends before?
