This way we can know our creative Just dancers and passionate artists more.
In this article we interviewed David @TheMaddavi who shared with us how did Justober come to life and his involvement. David is a 20 years old thriving self-taught artist and an active member in our community who has created a lot of original Just Dance art. On his journey with us David said:
"I've been involved with Just Dance since late 2014 and loved it ever since. In recent years, I decided to create a platform for my art, and slowly grew in the fandom doing many kinds of drawings, and occasional fanmades."
His big passion for designing and choreographing is reflected on his work. We asked David what inspirations lead him to craft art:
"I'm usually inspired by music and art mediums that I find appealing to improve my work. - My art style has had various changes throughout the years, and recently it's gotten some influence from Just Dance, helping me learn a lot about art"
David defined Justober as "A variation of Inktober. A worldwide challenge made for all artists started by a person named Jake Parker". The first Just Dance variant was done in 2019". The following years, David, took it upon himself to host it. However, it was not always a smooth ride as some issues has risen, which led to needing David with help from his friend @shoujo__cafe they managed to relaunch the "Justober" to be the Just Dance themed art challenge for the month of October.
Justober has received a lot of entries and it was very incredible to see everyone's work on the different themes of this year. The event is planned well in advance, to allow participating community members to submit prompts. These are then finalised in September. David explained that “the final themes are chosen from within the submissions whilst keeping October 31st theme as the upcoming Just Dance” in this case it was Just Dance 2022! We also asked him what his favourite theme from this year was and what's their top 5 entries. C-pop was the winning theme for David as "Just Dance does pretty cool maps for songs of that genre, and the drawings done for that theme were awesome." And we absolutely agree!

To conclude our interview, we asked our guest to share if he had any thing else to share with the community.
"I am so grateful to have the chance to speak up for a bunch of artists in the fandom, since their creations can sometimes be very underrated, and this is a huge opportunity for more people to see who we are and what we accomplished throughout the month. All the different kinds of art-styles and imagination made Justober memorable, and it's exciting to see what the future holds for this challenge."
Justober is a great creative challenge and an opportunity to show off their skills and creativity with people sharing the same passion. A point raised by David who recognized during this interview that "Making a drawing every day for a whole month can be exhausting, and its necessary to encourage them (the artists)" is what David has shared with us towards closing the interview. We couldn't agree more with this statement to support this commitment. We whole heartedly thank everyone who participated and helped Justober come to life.
Finally, we would like to thank our guest for his time and efforts in connecting the creative community. We can't wait to see what future entries of Justober will look like! before that you can share your art using #JustDanceCreations and tagging us.
