Community Spotlight with Enrrike

Welcome to our latest community spotlight article! This is a series where we give a shoutout to our Just Dance players for being extra-ordinary. Today we present to you one of our creative fan artists Enrrike Ackantar who provides us with wonderful content all year round. He draws coaches for Just Dance in beautiful garments and we are excited to share some of those with you today!

Enrrike first discovered Just Dance in 2015 through recommendations on YouTube and fell in love with the visuals so let his curiosity guide him to playing it. He now loves to play Just Dance as it gives him an opportunity to check out the artwork and helps him to exercise whilst having fun.

We wanted to know what Just Dance meant to Enrrike and he provided us with this quote, we hope that it inspires you as much as it did with our community team:

"Just Dance for me is a lifestyle, a daily motivation that reminds me that no matter how dark the path is ... there will always be a light that illuminates and gives you hope".

With the above motivation, we moved on to ask what inspired Enrrike with his art. He believes that both the music and community are an important part of his artistic journey. Enrrike is also inspired by many cartoonists over the years, and he hopes to move into different art techniques such as: Digital Drawings, Watercolour, painting, hyperrealism etc. Enrrike would like to personally thank Diana Diaz who is a Mexican illustrator who he has admired from a young age.

Counting Stars by One Republic has over 100million views on YouTube, which is one of the reasons Enrrike took to his pencils to create 3 male dancers. The idea of the costumes was to represent them in a Great Showman appeal with a little more informal style, whilst adding small elegant and formal details. All 3 male creations have painted masks which feature stars which can also be found within the outfits. Which is your favourite dancer?

Another of our favourites from Enrrike is his fan art of El by Jenni Rivera. He chose to draw Él because he feels that it is one of her liveliest, happiest songs that conveys a lot of affection and love towards the people you love most in the world. The costumes were inspired by Jenni herself. She wore low-cut dresses attached at the waist, long necklaces, bracelets, a Mexican reboso, very large heels and wavy brown hair. We are such a fan of this colourful piece.
