The For Honor Marching Fire PC Open Test is now available and can be downloaded by visiting https://free.ubisoft.com/promotions/for-honor-open-test/17/pc/login. Entry is free, and you don't need to own For Honor to participate in the PC Open Test, which grants players access to all 22 heroes, including the four new Wu Lin fighters. Before the test ends on September 10, you'll also be able to try out the new Heroes in 1v1 combat in Duel mode, or charge into the new 4v4 Breach mode on all three Breach maps. Both modes will be playable in PvE, PvP, and Custom matches on dedicated servers. Additionally, the PC Open Test is the first opportunity for players to experience new features coming to Marching Fire when it launches on October 16, including a new perks system, the victory celebration screen, a new responsive dialogue system, team voice chat, and a UI refresh.
Breach mode pits two teams of four against each other – one side as attackers, the other as defenders –in a full-blown castle siege. The attacking team’s goal is to use their battering ram to breach the defending team’s fortress before killing the commander and securing victory. The defending team must stop the attackers at all costs, whether by destroying the battering ram or killing their opponents a certain number of times.
Whichever side emerges victorious will be greeted with the new victory celebration screen, which celebrates the winning team by showcasing their customized Heroes and stats. While the PC Open Test will only contain a default celebration screen pose, additional poses will be available when Marching Fire launches. Celebrating during the victory screen will feel even more sweet thanks to the new responsive dialogue system, which allows characters to situationally interact and smack-talk one another in-game, based on their personalities.
Players who own For Honor can pre-order the Marching Fire expansion, which grants you immediate access to the new Wu Lin Heroes and includes the new PvE Arcade mode. Players who don’t purchase Marching Fire will still have access to Breach mode, victory celebrations, the new dialogue system, team voice chat, and UI refresh. They’ll also be able to unlock the Wu Lin fighters with in-game Steel after a period of exclusivity. And on September 4, players who have yet to purchase any version of the game can pre-order The For Honor: Marching Fire Edition, which includes the base game and the Marching Fire expansion in one package.
For Honor Marching Fire is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 16.
