May 14, 2024It's a new season and new year of BLAST R6 action with the first arena event of the 24/25 season kicking us off in Manchester for the first ever Rainbow Six Major in the United Kingdom. Twenty of Rainbow Six's best teams will descend on Manchester, UK, with the victors taking home 350 SI Global points and the lion's share of the $750,000 prize pool. Age Restriction: The event is open to everyone aged 18-years old and older. Fans aged 16 and 17-years old are allowed to attend the event so long as they provide parental consent, which can be in the form of a written document. The event is not open to anyone aged below 16-years-old.

The venue will open on:
Friday 24th May at 9:00 BST. Saturday 25th May at 14:30 BST. Sunday 26th May at 14:30 BST.
All attendees with a valid ticket will receive a card with one printed code, redeemable at the main desk upon arrival on-site, for the Manchester Major Manchester bundle, a background card and a drone skin.
Participating teams and Tournament format
Phase 1: 16th - 17th May - Bleed Esports (Asia) - CAG Osaka (Japan) - FearX (South Korea) - Geekay Esports (MENA) - Spacestation Gaming (North America) - Team Cruelty (LATAM) - Team Liquid (Brazil) - G2 Esports (Europe)
The eight teams will compete in a shortened double elimination bracket with four teams advancing to Phase 2. All matches are played over two days behind closed doors with all matches being BO3 format.
Phase 2: 19th - 22nd May - Team BDS (Europe) - Into The Breach (Europe) - Team Secret (Europe) - beastcoast (North America) - M80 (North America) - DarkZero Esports (North America) - FaZe Clan (Brazil) - E1 Sports (Brazil) - FURIA Esports (Brazil) - SCARZ (Japan) - PSG Talon (South Korea) - Team Bliss (Oceania)
Phase 2 is a 16-team Swiss bracket played out across four days. 12 teams join the event directly via their Regional qualification standings with the four promoted teams from Phase 1 forming the Swiss group. The Swiss stage features a mixture of Bo1 and Bo3 format matches with all qualification and elimination matches being Bo3. The eight surviving teams advance to Phase 3.
Phase 3: 24th - 26th May
Phase 3 brings the noise with the final three days of play taking place in front of the travelling esports fans from the UK and beyond. The eight remaining teams play out a single elimination bracket with Bo3 matches across the Quarter and Semifinals.
Sunday's culmination of action is a Bo5 Grand Final where we'll crown our champions.

Play Rainbow Six Siege on-site
Come and be amongst the first players in the world to play the upcoming season of Rainbow Six Siege on-site at the demo booth in Arena 2. The booth will be open on: Friday 24th - 09:00 BST Saturday 25th May - 14:30 BST Sunday 26th May - 14:30 BST *The booth will close each day when the last match of the day begins.
Professional Team Meet & Greets: Professional teams will be taking part in meet & greets throughout the event. These will be organised around the teams' schedules on-site. Follow us on X at @R6esports for the meet & greet updates.
Cosplay We can't wait to see all the amazing cosplays you've been preparing and perfecting on-site at the BLAST R6 Major Manchester.
Costumes and props: - Should not pose any danger to others and/or yourself. - Must follow specific requirements as part of the rules for cosplay which can be found in the cosplay guidelines. - Must not contain any symbols or markings forbidden by local legislation. - Must be inspected and validated by on-site security personnel. - Must be kept covered or hidden during transportation to the venue. - Prop weapons must be easily distinguishable as fake from 20 feet or 6 meters away must be soft and flexible
Cosplayers should enter the venue by the main entrance, via the lane designated for cosplayers.
Face coverings must be removed during the search process and entry into the venue. This includes coverings such as gas masks, googles, costume masks etc.

Twitch Drops Watch the Manchester action on the official Twitch channels listed earlier to earn Twitch Drops for the BLAST R6 Major Manchester!
Drops Schedule: Phase 1 - May 16 - 17: 1 pack per day after 3 hours watched Phase 2 - May 19 - 22: 1 pack per day after 3 hours watched Phase 3 - May 24 - 26: Finals schedule as outlined below: May 24 - 25: 1 pack after 3 hours watched and 1 pack after 5 hours (max 2 per day) May 26: 1 pack after 1 hour and 1 pack after 4 hours
Register your account by heading over to https://drops-register.ubi.com and link your Twitch account to your Ubisoft account. You will then be prompted to opt into the drops feature. Please make sure that your account is linked before you tune in to the broadcast.
All drops will need to be claimed manually. You can track all the Drops progression on the Inventory page https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory. When the Drops condition is reached, you will need to click on the "Claim" button in the Inventory page to claim the reward and continue the progression towards the next reward. Please note that the "Claim" button will be available only 24 hours after the end of each campaign. There will be 10 distinct campaigns during the Major, corresponding to each Playday of the competition, from May 16 to 27. The delivery of claimed items will usually be done 48 hours after the end of each campaign.
More information: Twitch Drops are activated for all five platforms the game is currently available on: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. You do not currently need to own Rainbow Six Siege to be able to earn drops. If you have your Twitch account linked to your Ubisoft account, and your Ubisoft account has been linked with your console accounts or PC, then you will receive the items when you login for the first time after installing.
Prize Pool & Global Standings Points The total prize pool of the BLAST R6 Major Manchester: $750,000.
The total prize pool is divided into two categories, a Team Participation Prize and a Team Performance Prize.
As part of the Team Participation Prize, each team will receive $7,000 in prize money as a result of qualifying and participating in Manchester.
The Team Performance Prize will be awarded as follows, based on the final rankings after the events conclusion:
- 1st - $210,000 USD
- 2nd - $85,000 USD
- 3rd-4th $44,000 USD
- 5th-8th - $23,000 USD
- 9th - 11th - $14,500 USD
- 12th -14th - $12,500 USD
- 15th-16th - $10,000 USD
- 17-20th - $8,500 USD
The 20 competing teams will also earn points in the Global Standings which lead to qualification for the Six Invitational 2025. Each team will be awarded points based on their final placement, as follows:
- 1st place: 350 points
- 2nd place: 260 points
- 3rd - 4th place: 200 points
- 5th - 8th place: 170 points
- 9th - 11th place: 105 points
- 12th - 14th place: 65 points
- 15th - 16th place: 55 points
- 17th - 20th place: 45 points
Safety Measures Please note health and safety measures may be updated up until the event, based on the evolution of the situation and local authorities' guidelines.
Cosplay is encouraged but will be subject to additional screening and restrictions.
Every participant will be subject to a search by security.
Prohibited items list The following items/actions are prohibited at the event:
- Weapons of any kind;
- Backpacks larger than 30cm X 30cm X 15cm (12" x 12" x 6");
- Briefcases and/or luggage*;
- Electronic devices larger than a cell phone (e.g. laptops, iPads, or other tablets);
- Cameras with detachable lenses;
- Audio recording devices;
- Selfie-sticks;
- Flags on pole or oversized signs (no larger than 8 1/2" x 11");
- Outside food/beverage;
- Alcoholic beverages;
- Smoking of any kind, including but not limited to tobacco, vapor, or e-cigarettes;
- Illegal drugs;
- Laser pointers;
- Mace or pepper spray;
- Spiked or studded jewelery;
- Skateboards, roller skates, scooters, hoverboards and bicycles;
- Drones;
- Musical instruments;
- Mega phones and speakers;
- Animals, except for official service animals.
*Except for cosplays who will go through a dedicated lane and extended security screening.
Blast, Ubisoft, venue, and security management reserves the right to prohibit any item, including items not listed above, from entering the premises based on any specific event safety requirements.

Ubisoft and/or Blast and/or their partnered production agencies may use your image and your voice during the live broadcast of this event, and after the event in order to create videos which may be displayed on internet and social media for commercial and marketing purposes. In consequence, your image and voice may be visible to the public for as long as the videos remain available on Internet and on social media.
