The padded gloves are off as we just completed Ubisoft India's highly engaging internal sports tournament - Ubilympics. This year, we successfully hosted the fifth edition of the most anticipated internal tournament of the year and we were delighted to witness over 900 participants collectively across 8 different sports at both our Mumbai and Pune studios.

It was a thrilling experience to organise close to a whopping 600 matches where the participants showcased great sportsmanship and teamwork. A diverse range of indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, Foosball, Badminton, and Carrom, as well as outdoor games including Cricket and Football ensured participation from seasoned athletes to casual sports enthusiasts. The tournament consisted of inclusive categories covering women-only and mixed matchups, enabling a higher participation by our employees.

The winners, runners-up, and MVPs of each sport performed their best and displayed exceptional skills to bag their respective titles. It certainly was a sight to see the unity of all team members, as they supported and encouraged each other during Ubilympics. The entire tournament progressed seamlessly, thanks to our coordinators for their dedicated support with all the participants.

We concluded the tournament with a grand ceremony for the winners on 29th August at both the studios, also celebrated as National Sports Day in India. More than 150 winners and MVPs, along with our wonderful coordinators were felicitated for their hard work and achievements.

The positive effects of this year's Ubilympics reached far beyond just physical activity. "Ubilympics has brought all team members from different departments together. This sense of camaraderie that transcends the usual workplace boundaries is highly crucial in fostering a cohesive and healthy environment that stays true to Ubisoft's culture", said Syed Abbas, Managing Director of Ubisoft India.

A tournament of this scale wouldn't have been possible without the sheer hard work of our organisers and participants. As we march ahead, we continue to explore more such opportunities for our team members to shine, grow, and connect in a setting that celebrates both individuality and unity.
