Hey Tire Slayer, can you introduce yourself for those who might not have known who is behind those amazing videos?
Hello! I’m a final-year student from Bulgaria. In my free time, I create YouTube content. My long adventure with The Crew franchise began in 2014. I was really impressed when I saw the game on YouTube for the very first time. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the right equipment to run the game at that time. A few years later, I suddenly found that Ivory Tower is releasing a new expansion – Calling All Units. I bought it as soon as it came out. Since then I have spent over 1000 hours on it. The camera mode was something the other content creators were unsure how to use. For that reason, two months later I joined the YouTube platform. However, I had no knowledge of video or photo editing at all. For example, I edited my first video with a mobile app. Likewise, I had never heard about programs like Premiere Pro or After Effects and working with them was a big challenge for me. But I had only one goal – to create quality content.
I’m also known for running different community wish lists and submitting players’ suggestions to the community managers. I’m so proud to see that most of them were taken into consideration.
Do you play on Console or PC? If PC, what are your specs?
PS4. I’m a huge fan of PlayStation and for that reason, I bought my console in 2016. The second game I added in my collection was The Crew Ultimate Edition. In fact, I had way more memories than any other game I have played.
However, I will probably switch to a PC in the near future, so I could increase my video quality.
What’s your most memorable moment while playing The Crew? What car were you driving when it happened?
My most memorable moment happened over a year ago.
I had just maxed out my drift ‘15 Ford Mustang GT and I was wondering where I should test it out. The mountain roads near Mazda Racetrack were a great place for drifting. But I wanted to try something new there– a whole run without hitting any traffic or road barriers. To make it even harder, I opened the camera mode. I thought” Why not record it too?” And that’s how I started my channel. Exactly one year later, I made the same run but in reverse.
To you, what does it mean to belong in The Crew Community?
Well, it is such an honor for me to be part of this awesome community. During the years I have been in contact with so many passionate people, who keep me motivated. I’m also so glad to see that the developers and the community managers are spending more time with the community. I really appreciate the way they listen to our suggestions and spread our videos/photos all over the social media. Thank You for Doing That! ❤️
You’re known in Community for your amazing videos. Tell us a little bit about your video creating process.
It is all about setting the bar higher every time! Each of my cinematic videos has its own plot. Strange but yet true, writing a plot for a video takes a while and I usually do that few weeks before I even start the project. You can’t just throw different clips in a video and expect the final product to be great.
Anyway, the music is the second thing I choose. It plays a great role in each video whether it is cinematic or just gameplay. Then all I need is to record some decent footage. For that, I rely on my team. I’m so proud of them. Some shots are literately taking hours, but they still don’t lose patience. It is so awesome to see them so motivated.
Sometimes it takes a while until I fit every clip on its place. For example, my biggest project so far “America’s Playground” took me over a month to create.
I spent over 150 hours on it and I had 30 GB recorded footage. To create it, I had to visit every hidden location on this glamourous map and pick the best of each region. Although the project took me some decent time, I was so happy to hear that the whole studio in Lyon is watching it. That’s what really matters to me – putting a smile on people’s faces.
How do you setup the perfect shot?
The first thing, I usually do is to find the right location. As a matter of fact, this is taking up most of my time – cruising around and searching for the best place. My work is half done as soon as I enter the photo mode. I have to go through all the options and pick the best angle, weather, blur, etc.
Taking a good-looking picture is not always a piece of cake. It can take up to a few hours if you are looking for a specific atmosphere or place. It is all about the location and its lighting. Sometimes I have to think outside of the box.
Are there any content creators that inspire you?
Well, I usually take my ideas from different car commercials, I love watching them. However, I always make sure that I have watched every new cinematic video recorded in TC1/2.
Crowned and DomesticMango are among my favorites content creators. Their content has always been on point. That really inspired me to continue creating content.
Lastly, do you have any tips or advice to give people inspiration to get started creating UGC in The Crew 2?
My advice is not to give up that easily. The more time you spend creating UGC, the better you will be. So, sit back and take your time. I’d like to remind you that everybody was a beginner at some point and being a newbie shouldn’t stop you to create art!
