Episode 3 Release

Year 1 Pass holders now have 7-day early access to Episode 3: Coney Island. The last Episode of Year 1 takes players to Coney Island in New York, as The Division embarks on two new narrative missions: one to rescue a virologist held by the Black Tusk that we believe to be key to find a cure and the other bringing Agents face to face with and old foe – the Cleaners.

The Episode 3 main missions will become available to all The Division 2 players on February 19th.

Cleaners 960x540

Episode 3 introduces our sixth specialization, Firewall, equipped with a flamethrower signature weapon; year one players will unlock this instantly as well as have access to two additional new classified assignments.

Coney Island brings new challenges as Agents fight the ruthless factions of New York. Having had almost a year to entrench their presence and more dangerous than ever, players will need to be cunning and relentless in order to gain a foothold as they prepare to hunt Aaron Keener in Warlords of New York.

Warlords of New York Reveal Stream

Earlier this week we proudly announced the first expansion to The Division 2, Warlords of New York, in a series of livestreams.

During the reveal stream, Associate Game Producer Drew Rechner and Associate Creative Director Yannick Banchereau explains key narrative, gameplay changes, post-launch elements and reasoning behind our expansion – watching this 25 minute show will give you a strong concept of what to expect going forward.

In the post-show we dig deeper into all these topics, as Hamish Bode interviews developers to get a full scope of progression changes, aspirations, seasons, new exotics, gear and much more.

Warlords of New York takes players to Lower Manhattan in the hunt for Aaron Keener, a disavowed First Wave Agent gone Rogue with a new chemical weapon in his arsenal. Our intent with this expansion is threefold: expand the narrative and lore of The Division; incorporate key community feedback; and create a more cohesive end-game experience.

Of course, our ambition does not end here, there is a large amount of new content, features, exotics, gear, named items and quality of life fixes introduced to the game, all of which we will expand on in the coming weeks in a series of streams, articles and videos.

New York has changed drastically since we saw it last, having been hit by a massive hurricane it is now flooded and more dangerous than ever before. The new narrative campaign will have players face a wide set of adversaries in which-ever order they want, as they explore the Fog of War and journey to level 40.

Warlords of New York releases March 3rd and is available for $29.99 or your regional equivalent.
