Progress Update Related to Closed Alpha Feedback

It's been a few months since our Closed Alpha, when we communicated some of the changes and updates we made to the game based on your feedback. You got to see some of these updates during the TerroHunt content shown at E3, and in the PvP matches on Hereford Base during the .

Now we're only a couple months away from the Closed Beta and while we still have some big things to share, we wanted to take a moment and give you a progress update on some previously discussed topics of feedback.

Be sure to sign up for the Closed Beta, which starts September 24th, if you haven't already. We'd also encourage you to join the community on the official subreddit or forums for some in-depth discussion about the game.

MOVEMENT

  • Penalty to drop-shot: Transition time between standing and going prone has been doubled.
  • Slower strafing: Movement speed had already been reduced post-alpha, and we are continuing to fine tune the experience.
  • Lean: To improve the keyboard and mouse experience on PC, you can now lean without the need to ADS.

FIREARMS

Weapon attachments, like this ACOG sight, are now in the build

  • Fire selectors: These are officially in the game now. You can select from semi, burst, and fully automatic.
  • Weapon attachments: Scopes, barrels (ex. suppressors), underbarrels, (ex. grips), can now be added to your firearms for extra comfort.  Feel free to ask the subreddit for more details, the mods played around with a few of them already.

IN-GAME FEEDBACK

Luminosity of teammate highlights during the Closed Alpha (left) and as they are now (right)

  • Teammate highlights: The opacity has been reduced by 50%.  We've also fixed a bug that was present during the Closed Alpha, where teammate highlights would show up even if you had a clear line of sight on your teammate.
  • Kill-cam: This has been removed for ranked games (more on that later).

ONLNE

  • Vote-kick: Has someone been trolling? You'll have the option to vote-kick unwanted teammates if you run into a problem.

[NOTE: We are in the process of finalizing exactly which settings can be toggled on/off for everyone during custom matches. We will communicate on these in the future.]
