PRO LEAGUE SEASON 7: DISCOVER THE TEAMS!

It’s nearly time for the Season 7 Pro League Finals, taking place in the glitz and glamour of Atlantic City on May 19thand 20th. We’ve got eight teams from across the globe ready to fight it out for a place on the podium and the $167,000 prize pool, with the winners taking home $75,000. If previous matches are anything to go by, you don’t want to miss what is sure to be an exciting and tense final. Before it all kicks off, let’s look at the teams and what we might expect from them.

Rogue vs. Nora-Rengo

When it comes to playing Siege, Rogue are one of the longest standing teams of the bunch. They’ve got the experience and have certainly grown over the months. The arrival of Easilyy helped Rogue to reach the next level. They’ve got the consistency and their coach has been around since their inception to help them rise. Placing first in the North America Pro League Season 7, their solid performance at Six Invitational 2018 shouldn’t be discounted, either. These guys will be ones to watch.

Playing against Rogue in the quarterfinal will be Nora-Rengo. This Japanese team have repeatedly proven that they’re not to be messed with. They came second in the qualifier for Asia Pacific Season 7 to earn them a spot here, but their track record is littered with golds. Most notable were their wins in the Asia Pacific Minors for Year 2 Season 3 and Season 7.

Heads up, we will have @AaronJBD "Shuttle" subbing in for @geoometriX on #RogueR6S at the Season 7 Finals. We're excited to be featuring such a strong roster for #R6PL.#GoRogue pic.twitter.com/EXR9NKWu7i

Evil Geniuses vs. PENTA Sports

Evil Geniuses may have come second against Rogue, but they’re not to be underestimated. They are one of the oldest gaming organisations, founded before the turn of the millennium. You can bet that they’ll be doing everything they can to take the crown. Looking back at their past results, a 5-8th placement in the Year 2 Season 3 finals saw them lose against ENCE, the future Pro League Champion. Evil Geniuses didn’t rest on their laurels, though, taking silver in both the Six Invitational and North America Pro League Season 7. That’s sure to have sparked the team.

Against Evil Geniuses will be PENTA Sports, in a game that might bring back memories of the Six Invitational 2018 – one which went extremely well for PENTA. Founded out of Germany, their current Siege team has forgone the home country and sourced players from Denmark, Finland, Spain and Sweden. The one universal language these players all share? Victory. Look back at their past games and you will see it littered with the top spot on the podium. Coming first in the likes of the Year 2 Season 1 and Season 2 finals was big, but nothing compared to their victory in the Six Invitational 2018. Noteworthily, PENTA recently announced that SHA77e has stepped down for personal reasons, with Kantoraketti taking his place.

In case you hadn't seen the news: @Kantoraketti has been loaned to @PENTA_Sports for the Atlantic City Finals!
He will temporarily be replacing @shatte_r6 for the event.

FaZe Clan vs. Millenium

FaZe Clan has a large online following that will be cheering them to victory as they gear up for some intense Siege battles. Coming in to the final from their clear 2-0 win in the Latin America Major will no doubt be providing fuel to these Brazilian players. They came in a respectable 5-8th place during the Six Invitational 2018: after great games in the group stage, they were ultimately eliminated by Evil Geniuses following a hard-fought battle.

Millenium will be battling them in the quarterfinal, a team with a lot of experience under their belt and comprised of four French players and one Belgium. The arrival of Hicks and risze certainly gave the team a new momentum. Their past achievements include winning the 6Cup 2017 and Gamers Assembly 2017. They returned to the latter tournament a year later to keep their title, but came out with a decent second place. Nonetheless, Millenium has been playing Siege together for more than a year and they’re bound to have a strong plan in place for Atlantic City.

Fnatic vs. Team Liquid

Fnatic are an Australian team that are fresh to the Siege scene, but came all guns blazing to the Asia Pacific Season 7 Qualifier where they took first place with a superb 2-0 win against NORA-Rengo. They also had a remarkable victory in the Six Invitational 2018 against Team Liquid while representing the Mindfreak banner. They work together well and have a feared playstyle. In a recent interview on the Rainbow Six website, RizRaz stated: “we all can clutch, we all can frag, and we all get along and coordinate with each other. I think we're pretty unique in that sense.”

Finally, there’s Team Liquid. Placing second in the Latin America Pro League Season 7, this Brazilian team will be bringing their all. While they may have lost 0-2 against FaZe Clan in that Latin America placement, that’s no sign that they won’t do well here. The departure of yuuk was a loss to the team, but his replacement in psk1 is sure to give the team a healthy new momentum after the Six Invitational 2018.

Not sure if boyband or #RainbowSix squad 😂🔥
