A REVAMPED PRO LEAGUE SEASON X KICKS OFF ON JUNE 17TH

The Season IX Pro League Finals have just ended, and Team Empire managed to take the trophy after an epic showdown earning them the title of Pro League Champions! While the teams take a few weeks to prepare for the upcoming Season, we are thrilled to announce that the new season will kick off on Monday, June 17th! There will be a few adjustments to the Pro League, so let’s take a look at what to expect in the coming season.

**PRO LEAGUE SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

**

To better accommodate our production schedule, we will adjust our global Pro League timing. Previously, there was one Rainbow Six Pro League play day per week while Season X will now consist of two play days per week. All four regions will follow this new Pro League structure with differences in regards to schedule. It will be split as follows:

• Europe: Monday and Friday - starting at 5:30 PM CET

• North America: Monday and Wednesday - starting at 7:30 PM EDT

• Latin America: Wednesday starting at 1:30 PM BRT and Friday starting at 7:30 PM BRT

• The APAC (Asia-Pacific) Pro League will remain on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Here are the starting times for each sub-region:

       • Japan starting time: 9 PM JST

       • Australia-New Zealand: 7 PM AEST

       • South Korea: 8 PM KST

       • Southeast Asia : 7 PM UTC+8

**PRO LEAGUE MAP POOL UPDATE

**

In order to allow our pro players to display their skills in the most competitive environment possible, we have removed Oregon from the map pool rotation and added the reworked Kafe. Here are the maps which will be available in Pro League for Season X: Bank, Clubhouse, Kafe, Consulate, Border, Coastline, Villa.

**AUTO-RELEGATION REMOVAL

**

We aim to enhance stability in our Pro League program by removing the auto-relegation. Therefore, we will bring more competitiveness within our esports program. Here are a number of key updates regarding the relegation matches format. There are no longer Challenger League playoffs between the top 4 teams. Instead we’re going straight into the Relegation matches :

• 1st place of Challenger League will face off 8th place of Pro League

• 2nd place of Challenger League will take on 7th place of Pro League

• Single elimination best-of 3 (bo3) format

**SEASON X PRIZEPOOL

**

As recently announced, the total prizepool for this season will be $626,000 (playoffs included).

**GRACE PERIOD UPDATE

**

As we have received positive feedbacks from our development team and the community, the operators Mozzie and Gridlock will enter to the Pro League operator pool while Warden & Nokk will enter grace period for 3 months minimum.

Starting June 17th with the kick-off of Pro League Season X, Lion will be released from quarantine and be an allowed pick in competitive play. After rounds of revision and feedback that included pro players, the development team has adjusted Lion to remove the functions that were disrupting the balance of competitive play. At this point in time the team is confident that Lion will not have the same degree of impact that he had in the past while remaining a viable pick and will be monitoring his use and affect on competition and is ready to react to any significant issues that his re-introduction into the ecosystem might pose. The changes made to Lion are as follows:

• Replaced the scan outline by a red ping debuff

• Reduced the ability warning from 3 to 1.5 seconds

• Reduced the scanning from 4 to 2 seconds

• Reduced the ability cool-down from 27 to 15 seconds

• Increased the number of charges from 2 to 3
