Community Spotlight with Amberfall!

Hey, hey, dancers!

Wow, it's been a while since we've done one of these! We're strutting our stuff into 2023 and jumping right out the gate by shining a great big spotlight on those that bring light to our community (get it, spotlight? Heh.) Today, let's dive into the mind behind the memes and an absolute Megastar in the community who helps manage a Discord server, makes stellar dance videos and cosplays, and is always hot on that 'reply' button. Without further ado...Amberfall!

Amberfall, a.k.a. Kaitlyn/Kay, was first introduced to Just Dance back in 2009 and has been a huge fan, having played every Just Dance game since. She has taste! When she's not playing Just Dance, you can find her playing the violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, and guitar...hopefully not all at the same time.

So, the real important question, what's the story behind the name "Amberfall"? From Kaitlyn herself:

"The name "Amberfall" is a play on my middle name, Amber, and my last name, Tripp! Another word for tripping is falling, and I just thought Amberfall sounded really pretty!"

Before we moved on to finding out about Kay's dancing skills, we needed to ask her how she was so quick to post her memes, images and edits when replying to our social posts, mostly on Twitter. As it turns out, she has a bunch already at her disposal (they may or may not be Chacarron-themed) made in advance, with experience in various editing software so once an idea is in her head, she works fast to make it a reality.

She's created a staggering 313 dance videos on her channel and we're in awe of her moves! Check them out for yourself if you're looking to follow along with her steps or just enjoy her infectious energy!

"It started with me creating these little videos to dance to the choreographies slowly in order to practice, and to my surprise, people ended up finding them useful!"

We asked Kaitlyn what her favourite Just Dance song is, and...

"My favorite routine right now I would say is Witch, there's just something so graceful yet powerful about every move. Apashe's music combined with Night Swan's elegance and confidence just makes it the most perfect routine."

And when asked about the choreo she finds most difficult:

"I'd say right now the song I find the most challenging is Boy With Luv (Extreme Version), but it's been very fun figuring out how to do it! That's not to say I don't find Circus Extreme still difficult, but thanks to Just Dance Socials and House of Revlon, I can feel confident doing dips!"

Safe to say, the worst of both worlds would be if Chicken started doing a dip (NOT a deathdrop x).

Alongside her groovy vids, she's also shown us her cosplaying skills many a time, so of course we had to ask which Just Dance coach she'd most like to be!

"I'd have to say Sara. With her entire persona of "dance like no one is watching", and her shy nature, I already feel like I'm kinda like her. Dancing makes me more confident and less afraid to be myself."

She feels that there are players who see value in what she does, and it helps her feel more included within the Just Dance Community. Her commentaries talking about how Just Dance can be used as an exercise, among other ways it's helped her, have been great for us to see as a team. We love when our work has an impact on our players, and she does an excellent job always giving us valuable points of view!

We see her as a community champion!
