Live Update 1.22.1

Network Latency Compensation

Input Delay

(PC only, Console version deployed shortly after successful PC implementation)

A 33 milliseconds input delay has been activated on all Offensive move (Attacks, Guard Break, etc). Defensive moves have not been altered (Parry, Counter Guard Break, etc). This is only our first step at compensating for network latency.

Developer's comment: For more information, please see our complete blog post on Input Delay.

Quit Penalty

Matchmaking Quit Penalty removed for all Non-Ranked Game Modes

The 10 minutes matchmaking Quit Penalty, refraining players from immediatly going back in matchmaking, has been removed from all Non-Ranked Game Modes. This also removes the same penalty applied by the AFK Timer. You are still getting all other penalties when you leave a match but you can now requeue into matchmaking right away.

Developer's comment: Now that the Dedicated Servers are deployed, the impact of a player leaving a session is less damaging. So, we are testing the removal of the matchmaking time penalty linked to quitting. This is also a way to lower the frustration caused by reducing the AFK timer value. We will monitor closely the impact of this update to see if it’s the best balance for the players.
