Diwalite: The Ultimate (Re)source of Power

Diwalite Beyond Good and Evil 2 header

Diwalite (“dee-va-lite”), a name derived from the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali, is the rarest mineral throughout all known planetary systems. As a highly powerful, self-sustaining source of concentrated energy, it can be combined with other raw materials and programmed to generate complex structures and organisms. It’s no surprise that Diwalite is fundamental to most industries and is a hot commodity in System 3! Everyone wants to get their hands on it and control the supplies…

Here are some of the most prevalent uses for Diwalite:

Nanobots (see header image): Diwalite can be “controlled” (programmed) by introducing code to direct it to perform a function or assemble itself into technologies and complex structures, much like how a snowflake forms or how DNA works in the human body.

Propulsion Engines: Thanks to Indian scientists’ discovery of traces of Diwalite on Earth in the mid-21st century, humanity was able to develop a revolutionary engine for spaceships that allowed for the colonization of new planetary systems (such as System 3) centuries before BGE2 takes place.

Human & Hybrid Cloning: To populate and construct these new colonies in far-away planetary systems, pre-programmed Diwalite was sent along with specific strains of DNA in order to create cloned humans and hybrids to begin the colonization process.

In what other ways – whether officially sanctioned by the authorities or illicit – do you think Diwalite could be used in System 3?
