For the reveal of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we collaborated with a talented contemporary digital artist named Kode Abdo, also known as Bosslogic. As a self-taught artist, Kode first started drawing when he was six years old. Using mainly digital tools and graphics to create, his art reflects his passion for entertainment, including comics, movies and video games. We loved working with him on a unique art piece for teasing the setting and the fantasy of our new Assassin’s Creed opus:
On April 29, he showcased the creation of his artwork during an eight hour livestream. At the end of the stream, Bosslogic unveiled the main character of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a Viking Warrior and clan leader named Eivor.
When it comes to Assassin’s Creed, art has always been a major component and an inspiration for the teams working on the franchise, from classic to contemporary sources. With this in mind, collaborating with an artist for creating a celebratory and inspiring piece of art for revealing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla setting was a real experience for us.
After the reveal, we wanted to go beyond our collaboration with Kode Abdo, and invite a selected number of artists over the world to continue the theme of expressing creativity and create incredible pieces of art for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. __All of them are taking part of the #KodeChallenge! __
The concept?
Inspired by Bosslogic artwork and the fantasy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we have invited a list of talented artists to interpret their own version of the Viking fantasy by Assassin’s Creed. Respecting their own style and universe, we have encouraged them to express their creativity through a new piece of art.
__The reward? __
The reward is a collaboration with Bosslogic! Once the art pieces are finished, Kode Abdo will select his favourite as the winner - and collaborate with the artist for creating together a new piece of art.
In addition, we will also share all the final selection of art with you!
When will end the challenge?
Artists are currently working on their creations and have until July 2nd to publish their art. Once they do, Kode Abdo will select his favourite art.
