Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Gamescom 2018 Recap

We've just wrapped up gamescom and had an amazing time there! Let's take a look at the activities our fans took part in during the event.

HANDS ON ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY

Over the course of the week, hundreds of players tried out the Assassin's Creed Odyssey demo at the Ubisoft booth. After picking either Alexios or Kassandra, they were able to explore the beautiful island of Mykonos and its surroundings to get a glimpse of the journey that awaits them this October!

ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY GAME SYSTEMS MASTERCLASS

On Wednesday, we hosted a Masterclass in the Ubisoft Lounge about the game systems of Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The session was hosted by the game director himself, Scott Phillips! From mercenary hunts to the faction war, players got a better understanding of the different systems that were built to make Ancient Greece in Assassin's Creed Odyssey a living and captivating world. A Q&A session followed the presentation, allowing players to ask Scott their burning questions about the game.

TRIVIA

In collaboration with Access the Animus, the AC Wikia and Memento_Gallery, we hosted three trivia sessions to test the knowledge of our fans! The questions ranged from easy to nightmare and dealt with topics from not only the main games, but the entire Assassin's Creed universe. As we have so many fans interested in the Assassin's Creed lore, the competition was really tough!

Congratulations to our winners: @ClaudioACSy, @RinoTheBouncer, and @bob_mccool. You proved yourself to be experts, and deserve those amazing prizes!

COMMUNITY DINNER

On Thursday, The Mentors Guild organized a second edition of the Community Dinner, with the help of the Community Team. Some lucky fans were picked to share a meal with members of the Assassin's Creed Odyssey dev team. It was a truly memorable moment for all the participant – full of meetings, emotions, and giveaways. We just love these initiatives, as they bring fans and developers together!

COSPLAY PARADE AND MEET-UP

We know how huge and talented our cosplay community is, so this is why we had to organize something special during gamescom! On Friday, we marched with fans disguised as famous and beloved Assassin's Creed characters from the Cologne Cathedral to the gamescom venue. We then did a photo shoot, as you can see above. Cosplayers from all around the world got the chance to meet each other and talk about the art of crafting these amazing outfits.
