AN UPDATE ON THE SIX INVITATIONAL 2021 TEAMS: WILDCARD GAMING

27 January 2021

Earlier this month, we revealed the Group pool for the Six Invitational 2021. Today unfortunately, we regret to announce that Wildcard Gaming can no longer compete in this year’s Six Invitational.

Despite our joint efforts with the team as well as the local authorities to find solutions, Wildcard Gaming has not been given the greenlight to travel by their government.

As Wildcard Gaming cannot join us for the event, we took the difficult decision to adapt the Six Invitational 2021 to a 19-team format. In order to comply with administrative requirements as well as the local authorities’ safety guidelines, the timeframe to organize teams travel to the Six Invitational is particularly tight this year. The event is now too close for us to organize the arrival of a new team to replace Wildcard Gaming.

We are sad that Wildcard Gaming will not be joining us at the Six Invitational this year and hope to see them soon in one of our international competitions. The team will receive 1% of the total prizepool, corresponding to a 17th to 20th ranking in the competition. Our teams are currently working on reshaping the competitive format and schedules for 19 teams. More details will be shared soon.
