Newcastle’s Four Quarters Bar Lights Up for Special Effect Charity Fundraiser

In early October, people gathered at the Four Quarters bar in Newcastle for a night to raise money for the charity Special Effect.

There was plenty to get involved in, from retro consoles and gaming tournaments to raffles with amazing prizes, including the latest games, and more!

Raffle donations were made by the Social Club, Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft CRC & Ubisoft Guildford, as well as Sumo, EA & Insert Coin. The total raised on the night for Special Effect was £980.98!

Emily Rudd, commented on the event "Special Effect are one of Ubisoft's long term charitable partners as the leading games accessibility charity. There was a fantastic turnout at Friday's fundraising event for One Special Day and the atmosphere was great. People enjoyed getting stuck into the tournaments with some practicing especially beforehand and the raffle was well supported. It was great to see lots of different representatives from the North East games industry come together and support such a good cause."
