Update: Challenger League Format

As announced during our Esports Panel at the Six Major, the challenger league will be changing with this upcoming season to be formatted more similarly to Pro League. A standard Challenger League season will now be three months long, where each team plays every other team twice (in two best of one matches) during the season. As with the Pro League, winners will gain three points, draws will earn each team one point, and a loss earns zero points. Because we have a three month season for Challenger League (instead of a six month season like with Pro League) teams will play twice each week, with a total of 14 matches over the season. The top four teams will advance into the playoffs, which will be played in a best of three single elimination series. As announced last season, the grand finals winner will qualify directly into Pro League, while the second place team will play a relegation match against the seventh place Pro League team.
