The competitive Rainbow Six scene is growing with the addition of four global DreamHack events!
During the Year Three panel at the Six Invitational, we revealed the plan to have DreamHack host future tournaments for the Rainbow Six competitive community. Four different DreamHack events have been scheduled for Rainbow Six, giving professional and amateur teams alike the opportunity to compete against each other in exciting lan events. Teams from around the world will be competing for a collective prize pool of $50,000 per event and the chance to prove themselves against some of the best Rainbow Six teams in the scene.
Rainbow Six: Siege will be present at the following DreamHack events:
- DreamHack Austin (June 1-3rd, 2018)
- DreamHack Valencia (July 12-15th, 2018)
- DreamHack Winter - Jönköping (November 30th – December 3rd 2018)
- Early 2019, Location TBD
Tournaments are several days long, and registration will be split into two different types: closed registration for Pro and Challenger League teams, and open registration for everyone else. Keep in mind that open registration for all events is worldwide and available to any team that wants to attend. Open registration is also BYOC (bring your own computer) - so you must be able to bring your own setup to the event. Spots are limited and will be booked on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to register early if you are planning to attend. We will have future updates regarding registration deadlines for each event.
BYOC tickets are currently available for DreamHack Austin and DreamHack Valencia, so be sure to head to http://www.dreamhack.com to grab your ticket.
The best teams from the open tournament will qualify to participate in the closed tournament, meeting the pro teams head on in competition! The closed tournament matches will be streamed online for those at home to view, so don’t worry if you can’t make it to the event in person. This is an exciting year for competitive Rainbow Six and we look forward to seeing you at future events!
