Living the Revolution from the Inside!
While Connor's motive throughout the game was to protect his people, his personal journey intertwined with the events of the American Revolution, making him a major actor in the conflict. Being able to meet famous historical figures and taking part in iconic events such as the Battle of Bunker Hill or the Boston Tea Party was definitely a highlight for our players, who got to see once more the influence of the Assassin Brotherhood on history.
Exploring the Frontier
Just like previous entries, Assassin's Creed III took players to some of the most iconic cities of its setting, in this case, New York and Boston. But one of the biggest changes was the introduction of the Frontier, a huge region recreating the 18th-century North American wild countryside, filled with tons of activities.
Thanks to Connor's new navigation moves, players could easily navigate through this untamed playground, in summer or winter, and discover all of its secrets!
Naval Combat
We couldn't have had a game about the American Revolution without including naval battles, as they were a major part of the conflict!
Assassin's Creed III was the first game of the series to introduce this feature, which quickly became a fan favorite and later on gave birth to Assassin's Creed® IV Black Flag®.
Sailing around the East Coast alongside Robert Faulkner was definitely a highlight, and we can't wait to get back on the Aquila!
Team Up!
If you want to extend your time in North America, Assassin's Creed III Liberation will also be included with Assassin's Creed III Remastered!
The game contains a mission in which the main protagonist, Aveline de Grandpré, must work with Connor to track down a Templar. This mission is full of great moments that we are excited for you to experience again, or for the first time.
Mentors Guild – Top Moments
We asked members of the Mentors Guild about their favorite moments from Assassin's Creed III.
Haytham's True Identity
One of the most surprising elements from Assassin's Creed III is its prologue, letting fans play as Haytham Kenway, Connor's father. After a couple of hours exploring the New World and forging new friendships, players discovered that Haytham was no less than a Master Templar! A shocking twist that kicked off the journey in a very powerful way.
Desmond's Final Chapter
Assassin's Creed III was the last and most of important chapter of the Desmond Miles story, as he and his team were on a mission to save the world from a new catastrophe.
From unveiling the secrets of the Grand Temple to traveling around the world to retrieve First Civilization artefacts, Desmond had a lot to do in the game.
The Mentors cannot wait to replay those sequences and see the former bartender embracing his Assassin life!
Wandering the Bayou
Assassin's Creed III Liberation not only introduced the first female Assassin to the franchise, Aveline de Grandpré, but also led players to the French-influenced trade city of New Orleans and its iconic swamp-like region, the Louisiana Bayou.
The Bayou includes a town of San Danje in the northeast region, an abandoned plantation in the southwest, and Agaté's well-protected treehouse in the southeast. It is also home to dozens of alligators and bobcats.
